Career Summary
Scott is a Senior Managing Director in the Chicago office of JLL Capital Market, Americas, leading the Land and Development Group’s Midwest and East Coast practices. Scott helps clients reposition their owned, vacant, or underutilized assets, driving value to the organization. His corporate real estate work includes highest and best use analysis, merchandizing residential and resort properties, and creating thoughtful strategies around functionally obsolete or environmentally challenged assets. He handles assets ranging from dense inner-city locations of less than an acre, to large-scale parcels in excess of 50,000 acres.
With over 25 years of real estate experience in markets throughout North America, Scott has facilitated over $3.0 billion of real estate transactions, spanning the major asset classes of residential, industrial, retail, multifamily, and hospitality facilities. His clients include public/private institutions, private investors, and Fortune 1000 firms such as General Motors, Chevron, IBM, Microsoft, 3M, Pfizer, Seibu Railway, and McDonald’s.
Prior to joining JLL, Scott was with Cohen Financial for eleven years, serving most recently as Director of its Capital Markets unit. His responsibilities included overseeing the $4 billion loan servicing portfolio and managing the workout process. Before this, he was Project Director for the Asset Management Group, where he co-led the property management division of Cohen Financial.
