JLL strengthens West Coast hotel Investment Sales and Advisory team with new team member
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 23, 2024 – JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group announced today that Matt Riley has re-joined JLL as Senior Director, specializing in hotel investment sales and advisory.
Riley is an experienced hotel real estate professional with over $2 billion in hotel investment sale and debt placement transaction experience throughout the United States.
“We are thrilled to welcome Matt back to JLL,” said Kevin Davis, Americas CEO for JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality group. “His extensive experience and deep industry knowledge will be invaluable as we continue to provide our clients with best-in-class advisory services in the hotel real estate market.”
Based in the firm's Los Angeles office, Riley will work closely with JLL’s Tony Muscio, who leads the hotel investment sales and advisory efforts for the Western region.
“We couldn’t be happier to have Matt back on the team along with all the incredible talent he brings,” said Muscio. “He is thoughtful, creative and analytical all while knowing the Western U.S. hotel markets like the back of his hand.”
Prior to joining JLL, Riley partnered with a successful family-owned business in the Los Angeles area to help lead sales operations while continuing to consult on hotel real estate transactions. Before this role, he was a Vice President in JLL's Hotels & Hospitality Group and spent over six years with the firm. During his previous tenure with JLL, Riley specialized in complex full-service hotel and resort transactions throughout the Western U.S. Earlier in his career, Riley worked as an Equity, Debt and Structured Finance Analyst within Cushman & Wakefield’s Global Hospitality Group, following a role as a Financial Analyst for Pacifica Companies, based in San Diego, California.
Riley is a graduate of the University of San Diego with a bachelor's degree in finance and real estate.
