JLL today announces that Managing Director Ben Mosley is joining the firm’s Nashville office where he will focus on growing the industrial brokerage team and portfolio. Mosley brings 30 years of experience to JLL and has facilitated more than 15 million square feet of industrial transactions in the Nashville region over the last 20 years. Mosley will be joined by Vice President Christopher Gaw.

In his new role, Mosley will lead strategic direction and growth of JLL’s industrial brokerage practice, oversee client development of tenant representation and agency leasing, and coordinate with JLL Capital Markets investment sales, debt and equity teams. Since it was established in 2012, the Nashville office has grown to over 50 employees with over 384 employees across the state of Tennessee – a nod to the market’s rapid growth and expansion.

“Ben brings extensive leasing and transaction experience to JLL, making him an invaluable asset to our team,” said Senior Managing Director Bo Tyler. “We are confident in his ability to drive our business forward, and we look forward to Ben playing a vital role in our growth strategy throughout the Nashville market.”

Prior to joining JLL, Mosley served as director of industrial services for Cushman & Wakefield’s Nashville office. Mosley managed an industrial portfolio of more than 2.3 million square feet, focusing on owners, landlords, tenants and corporate users. He previously spent 10 years in London dealing primarily in retail and office properties, giving him extensive experience in England’s commercial real estate market. Mosley is an active member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a past President of the Sertoma Club of Nashville. He has been recognized as a Top 5 Heavy Hitter among commercial real estate brokers specializing in Nashville’s industrial market. Mosley holds a Bachelor of Arts from University of Wolverhampton and Post-graduate Diploma in Real Estate Development from University of East London.

“It is thrilling to join the JLL team and have the opportunity to leverage my unique international experience during a time of unprecedented growth for Nashville,” said Mosley. “I’m excited to take full advantage of the firm's technological offerings and vast capabilities to continue providing unmatched service to JLL’s clients.”

As an associate at Cushman & Wakefield, Gaw focused on industrial leasing and investment sales, representing both landlords and tenants. During his career, Gaw has facilitated more than $90 million of leasing and sales transactions. He is an active member of National Association for Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP), the Phoenix Club of Nashville, and volunteers with The Crieve Hall League and Second Harvest Food Bank. Gaw is a graduate of the University of Mississippi.aqw

JLL’s Nashville office now represents 11 business lines and concentrations, including retail and office tenant representation, office agency leasing, project and development services, industrial services, supply and logistics services, property management, integrated portfolio solutions, capital markets, multifamily and work dynamics.

According to JLL’s Q4 Industrial Insight, Nashville’s industrial market saw over three million square feet of net absorption in 2021, with Wilson County claiming 1.2 million square feet. JLL’s experts predict that Middle Tennessee’s population growth and rising incomes have led to increased demand for consumer goods, attracting numerous retail chains looking to expand their distribution operations. 4.77 million square feet of speculative space delivered in 2021, and the market’s outlook is incredibly favorable as the local economy recovers above pre-pandemic levels.
