CHICAGO, Jan. 30, 2024 – JLL announced today that it has hired Paul Sill to lead its newly created Visionary Insights Group. In his role as Managing Director and Head of this new venture, he is responsible for driving growth and producing insights through analytics, strengthening relationships with existing clients and developing a user-friendly software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution to empower JLL clients to generate real-time, actionable, intelligence.

JLL's Visionary Insights Group, which is part of JLL’s Retail Advisory Services division, recognized the need to both expand their depth of analytic expertise and make those insights more accessible to our clients through a user-friendly cloud-based platform. Sill’s unique expertise and deep understanding of the retail industry made him the perfect fit to lead the new team.

“Our main goal during every enterprise engagement is to ensure that advanced data-modeling, along with the valuable business insights it provides, are effectively translated into actionable strategies for the executive leadership of each client,” Sill said. “We’ll achieve that with the help of an efficiently designed SaaS solution and cutting-edge machine learning modeling techniques.”

Sill’s career began in 1994 in the real estate research department at Blockbuster Entertainment. From there, he specialized in retail data mining at Sears Roebuck and Co., developing a wide variety of forecasting models for numerous off-mall concepts. Sill founded Forum Analytics in 2001 to build upon his experience combining complex analytics with cutting-edge mapping technology. Under his leadership, Forum Analytics introduced numerous industry-changing platforms during the dawn of the AI/revolution, most notable the Strategic Integrated Mapping and Modelling System (SIMMS); Cannibalytics; and Shopographics, the first real estate specific segmentation data product. He sold Forum Analytics in 2015 to CBRE and remained there as a Senior Managing Director and Global Retail Analytics Practice Leader. He is also an Adjunct Professor at DePaul University in Chicago where he teaches coursework in real estate analytics and geography.

“We plan to leverage his extensive expertise to expand our retail advisory services and adapt to the market’s changing demands,” said Naveen Jaggi, President of Retail Advisory Services, JLL. “A key area of focus will be the development of a powerful, client-facing SaaS solution and continuing to recruit top talent as we build this team nationally.”

“I am thrilled to join JLL and look forward to collaborating with our talented team to drive growth with data analytics and develop solutions to better serve our clients,” Sill added. “By expanding JLL’s Retail Strategy Services platform we can use this foundation to boost performance for our retail services and support other business lines within JLL.”
