JLL appoints Rob Kolar West Division President for Work Dynamics; Jan Pope to retire
After 32 years, Jan Pope leaves a legacy of profound energy, care, mentorship and a ‘client-obsessed’ mentality
SAN FRANCISCO, July 25, 2022 – JLL announced today that Rob Kolar will be named West Division President, Work Dynamics, Americas effective September 1, 2022. Kolar will succeed Jan Pope, who will retire from JLL after 32 years with the company.
Pope first joined LaSalle Partners in 1990, bringing her leadership skills to help grow the organization. In her time at JLL, she served as Co-President of Tenant Representation, where she established and grew the San Francisco Bay Area Work Dynamics accounts. She also built the Southwest Market Director role before being named West Division President, Work Dynamics, Americas.
Under Pope’s leadership, the West Division has seen extensive client and employee growth – almost doubling in size since 2020. This growth has created many new career opportunities, and Pope has built a diverse group of exceptional account leaders, Group Account Executives (GAEs), sales and support. She is passionate about furthering JLL’s purpose to create a diverse and inclusive workplace and has been a vocal supporter of partnerships with Best Buddies Jobs, SkillBridge and the IFMA Global Workforce Initiative. She is also the executive sponsor for JLL’s Southern California Black Professionals Network.
“It has been a great pleasure working with each of our teammates to grow the West Division and the careers of so many,” said Pope. “I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to be a part of JLL’s continued evolution over the years, and I look forward to seeing the tremendous strides that Rob and the team will achieve.”
Kolar will succeed Pope as West Division President, Work Dynamics, Americas. Kolar has been with JLL for 18 years and has held a variety of leadership roles across the West Division, most recently as GAE. He is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and is the executive sponsor for JLL’s Northern California Women’s Business Network and is actively involved in CoreNet.
“I’m honored to succeed Jan in leading JLL Work Dynamics Americas’ West Division,” said Kolar. “Jan has been such a big contributor to JLL’s growth, and I feel confident that the path we are on will bring continued value and success to our clients.”
JLL’s Work Dynamics focuses on how the workplace and technology are reshaping real estate and helps corporations and leaders to drive their sustainability, technology and real estate agendas.
