JLL adds senior life sciences, healthcare and data center leader

SEATTLE – April 13, 2021 – JLL, a leading real estate and investment management firm, has announced the hire of Marcelo Garcés as senior vice president in Seattle, with a focus on tenant representation. Garcés comes to JLL equipped with 20+ years of experience in the life sciences, healthcare and data center fields and will focus on driving and building upon JLL’s growing success across the region.

Prior to his role with JLL, Garcés served as a partner at another commercial real estate agency in Seattle, leveraging his multi-disciplined experience to provide real estate consulting for clients and help them become more efficient, conserve capital, reduce risk and optimize portfolio or property value. He also served as managing director at a New York-based commercial real estate firm’s Seattle office, as well as managing director and portfolio account manager at a global corporate real estate advisory firm prior to that.

Garcés attended Gonzaga University, where he received an MBA in Finance and Management Information Systems as well as a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (Structural and Math). He has served as a fundraiser “pro” for the Plymouth Housing Group, which aims to eliminate homelessness, and is a member of Life Science Washington. He is fluent in English and Spanish and was once a professional dancer.
