This International Women’s Day and every day, we are proud to recognize our inspiring women leaders and allies at JLL.
Who is a female inspiration/role model to you and why?
It took me a few years to realize what an extraordinary positive and deep influence my mother has been on my life. She’s the kind of person who worked hard her entire life, would sacrifice herself for her family, and is easily the most altruistic soul and strongest woman in my eyes.
She raised me -the same way as my 2 brothers- with a belief system and set of values, to find my own role model within myself, to break the mold, and to discover and forge the best version of myself.
Why does inclusion matter to you?
I strongly believe that inclusion is a must, as we all have the right to be included, heard, treated as equals, respected and empowered.
We learn from our differences, complete each other, and become better individuals and stronger communities/ teams when we embrace diversity & inclusion.
How are you inspiring women to achieve their ambitions at JLL?
I am grateful to be surrounded by many remarkable and smart women working at JLL, who are lifting each other up. Collectively, we can all help create an inclusive workplace, with empathy and also vulnerability. I’ll continue at my level motivating women in the workplace and elsewhere to believe in themselves and their working and personal dreams.
I had recently the opportunity to participate as guest speaker in a webinar with passionate BIM practitioners & especially future-focused ladies from across the African continent, committed to raising the BIM tide and building Africa, together.
I’m also a member of the WIMEN (Women Executive Management Network) in Morocco and committed to continue to challenge and call out gender bias and inequality, especially on the real estate sector, traditionally male dominated. If we are a more gender equal world, we can be a more enabled world.
