Christian Ulbrich
Global CEO
This International Women’s Day and every day, we are proud to recognize our inspiring women leaders and allies at JLL.
Who is a female inspiration/role model to you and why?
Ginni Rometty. Among the many women in the world of work who are truly an inspiration and role model to me, Ginni stands out for her unwavering values, strength of character and decisive leadership, guiding IBM through eight transformational years, building new partnerships and opportunities to take the company through the Fourth Industrial Revolution. She is a great example of identifying and pursuing your ambitions and beliefs, which we have seen both through her time as IBM CEO and in her broader role in public life.
Why does inclusion matter to you?
Inclusion is extremely important to me. I strongly believe that the most successful organizations through the 2020s and beyond will need to far better reflect the composition of society as a whole, especially in their leadership structures. Everything points in this direction — from accessing the widest possible talent pools, to meeting the fundamental expectations of new generations of customers and employees, to being simply the right thing to do. We need to get very quickly to where a core part of the definition of success, for any organization, needs to be in providing true equal opportunity, and in tackling bias wherever it is encountered.
