Chiara Adam
Marketing and Communications Manager, Italy
This International Women’s Day and every day, we are proud to recognize our inspiring women leaders and allies at JLL.
Who is a female inspiration/role model to you and why?
As the first female chairman of Baker & McKenzie, the first woman to become Finance Minister of a G8 Economy and the first woman to head the IFM and now the ECB, Christine Lagarde has set significant records during her career. Beyond her tangible achievements, though, I believe her greatest accomplishment is her ability to make something traditionally perceived as an exception — a woman sitting on the highest chair of a financial institution — the rule. Christine Lagarde embodies the essence of equality by setting an example. There are many professionals who, like me, look up to her thinking “if she has done it, so can I."
Why does inclusion matter to you?
There are many remarkable women working here at JLL. As a communicator, I have the privilege of being able to amplify their voices and messages inside and outside our company. I want to use this power to inspire women across JLL by telling the stories of the admirable achievements of their female colleagues.
