JLL Feeding Heroes
We're giving back to the healthcare heroes fighting the war against COVID-19.
Last weekend, a group of JLL Americas Property Management employees jump-started an effort to give back to the heroes fighting on the front lines in the war against COVID-19.
They came up with the idea to fund catering through JLL's CaterCares program, ordering 300 individually-wrapped meals for healthcare providers at AMITA Health Resurrection Medical Center and Advocate Christ Medical Center in Chicago. The move brought much-needed sustenance during these stressful times, and gave a boost to local restaurants.
"People really, really appreciated it... it was a huge morale boost," said Dr. Ashley Black, Pulmonary / Critical Care Physician at AMITA.
"The team wanted to say, 'thank you' to these brave healthcare providers, and found a brilliant way to leverage CaterCares to help benefit many," said James (Jay) Koster II, Group Head, Capital Markets and Investor Services, Americas. Through CaterCares, the effort generated additional funds to provide meals for Feeding America to help those in need.
With many people asking how they could participate, JLL launched a program called Feeding Heroes. Anyone can donate funds to provide meals to frontline heroes, and Feeding America benefits, too.
