Constructing a more efficient centralized distribution center
Macy’s needed a new regional distribution center to accommodate its growth in the Midwest. We helped the retailer select, acquire and manage construction of the appropriate real estate for the new center, which services an expanded midwestern retail store base, home delivery and direct-to-consumer businesses. Achieving overall ambitions, the new, highly efficient facility has decreased the footprint by 45 percent and the full-time labor force by 50 percent.
