JLL Capital Markets continues to expand its Debt Advisory team with key promotions

MIAMI, June 25, 2024 – JLL Capital Markets announced today the promotion of Jimmy Calvo and Joshua Odessky from Associates to Directors on the Debt Advisory team, based in Miami, Florida.

In their new roles, they will primarily focus on debt and equity advisory across various property types, reinforcing the team’s expertise and regional presence.

"These promotions are a well-deserved acknowledgment of both Jimmy and Josh’s expertise and dedication," said Chris Drew, Co-Head of the JLL Miami Capital Markets office. "Their diverse background and strategic insights will undoubtedly continue to drive the success and growth of our Debt Advisory team."

Having joined JLL in May 2021, Calvo has significantly influenced the Miami office’s success by playing a key role in numerous high-profile debt and equity placements. Prior to his tenure at JLL, Jimmy gained valuable experience as a Private Equity Associate at Hudson Advisors L.P., where he evaluated and underwrote numerous investment opportunities for leveraged buyouts and take-privates. Prior to that, Jimmy began his career in Deutsche Bank's Leverage Finance Group in New York City. Calvo earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Accounting from Florida State University, graduating cum laude.

Additionally, Josh Odessky has been a valuable member of JLL ever since he started as an Analyst in February 2021, before quickly advancing to Associate in January 2023. Before joining JLL, he served as a Commercial Real Estate Credit Analyst at TD Bank, where he successfully underwrote a variety of complex transactions, including large ground-up developments, portfolios and investment opportunities across the Southeast. Odessky holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a specialization in real estate and sustainability from the University of Florida's Warrington College of Business.
