SAN FRANCISCO – May 18, 2022 – JLL, a leading real estate and investment management firm, has announced the hire of Samantha Martz as executive vice president and a member of its High-Growth Technology practice group in San Francisco. This team was established to assist venture-backed technology companies with their needs for creative and flexible real estate solutions.

In her new role, Martz will provide real estate advisory services to clients throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. Her current responsibilities include consulting, strategy development, account management, and negotiation.

Martz’s career in corporate real estate spanned more than a decade prior to joining JLL. In her role as Business Development Director with WeWork, she helped enterprise companies leverage the flex operator at scale, and advised technology companies during the COVID-19 pandemic on their return-to-work plans. Martz began her career in workplace strategy, advising clients on behalf of global architecture firm Gensler. She has also been an end user, leading real estate strategy for Salesforce during its rapid expansion and helping secure the iconic Salesforce Tower in San Francisco.

“We are excited to welcome Samantha to our vital High-Growth Technology team as we continue to help companies of all sizes navigate the real estate solutions that are best for them,” said Chris Roeder, Executive Managing Director for JLL in San Francisco. “Not only does she have vast consultative experience around return-to-office planning and general workplace strategy, but her experience on the client side of things will heighten her value as we help our clients expand, relocate and strategize.”

“I am overjoyed to be joining JLL in San Francisco, a team that is making such a huge impact for tech companies in the area,” said Martz. “I am confident that my diverse background – negotiating large-scale flex transactions or seeing firsthand what it’s like to work on the real estate team at a rapidly scaling company – will be a major net positive for JLL and all of the clients it serves.”

Martz received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley.
