WASHINGTON, D.C. July 24, 2023 – JLL announced today that it has expanded its growing Clean Energy & Infrastructure Advisory team with the addition of electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure expert Robert Anderson as a senior vice president and federal program manager Jamare Bates as a vice president.

Over the last decade, Anderson has devoted his career to the infrastructure sector, leading and advising on financing, strategy, execution and operations of large projects in both the U.S. and the U.K. His focus at JLL is on assisting new and existing clients in achieving their EV goals; encompassing advisory services for the deployment of EV infrastructure; fleet transitions and the implementation of broader clean energy technologies alongside EV infrastructure. He is based in Denver, Colorado.

Previously, Anderson served as a director in KPMG's Infrastructure and Major Projects Advisory team, specializing in strategic counsel for clients in the infrastructure and EV sectors and covering areas such as commercial transactions, financial structuring and alternative delivery projects. Additionally, he was responsible for launching an EV charging business for Amey in the U.K. before joining KPMG in the U.S.

Bates brings 22 years of engineering and project management experience to JLL, where he is focused on growing the footprint of JLL’s Clean Energy & Infrastructure Advisory practice in the federal sector. Based in Washington, D.C., he will be working with JLL’s top government clients to provide program management solutions tailored to the sustainability goals and mandates of clients. Bates is a professional engineer and project manager who has designed complex infrastructure projects for federal, state and local governments. His expertise spans project management, program management and planning, and, prior to joining JLL, he led the Federal Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Initiative for Black & Veatch.

Both Anderson and Bates are reporting directly to Managing Director Josephine Tucker, Head of Clean Energy and Infrastructure Advisory, JLL.

“Sustainability has become increasingly important for occupiers, owners, developers and governments,” Tucker said. “As the industry moves from goal setting to implementation, there is a growing need for technical and commercial advisors to facilitate end to end. We are focused on helping our clients realize their net zero commitments and improve resiliency, while managing cost and risk along the way. Robert and Jamare’s contributions will help us expand our clean energy and EV infrastructure capabilities, serving growing demand from commercial and public sector clients.”

Anderson is a graduate of Keele University in the U.K., where he earned his Bachelor of Law with Politics degree, as well as receiving his MSc Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Management degree from Imperial College London. Bates earned his Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Virginia Tech and his MBA from George Washington University.
